About Heather McMillan

Heather McMillan and her husband Elton have four grown children, and two, almost three, daughter in-laws! She has enjoyed her roles as mother, teacher, children’s pastor and curriculum writer. Heather created We Choose Virtues, an internationally-known curriculum that equips parents and educators to “Simply Inspire Character that Lasts.” with resources for both children and youth. Over her lifetime, Heather has walked hand-in-hand with her husband and Jesus, overcoming chronic kidney disease, receiving two kidney transplants and battling cancer twice. She is an encouraging voice for parents as they prepare their children for the journey of life.
